Thanks to the Catholic Foundation’s Advancing the Mission Evangelization grant, 15 pilgrims from the Diocese of Green Bay embarked on a faith-filled adventure that combined physical endurance, fellowship, and spiritual growth this past summer. This three-day journey began at St. Anthony Church in Oconto Falls, where participants pedaled 25 miles to Camp Tekakwitha and back again, totaling 50 miles.

Thanks to a generous Monica Meyer Respect Life Grant from the Catholic Foundation, Biking for Babies continues to empower young adults to become missionary disciples and support pro-life and anti-abortion efforts. This support enabled the creation and distribution of Life Guides—essential formation materials—for all 92 missionaries participating in the 2025 National Ride.

St. Pope John Paul II declared, “We are an Easter People.”  We are called to rejoice in Jesus’ sacrifice and deep love for us.  Not only should we rejoice, but also, we should live as Jesus lived: to share the Father’s love and message with everyone we encounter.  Together in faith, we can leave a legacy that shares Jesus with the world. 

Pam’s world had unraveled. Alone and overwhelmed, she faced not only sorrow, but also the terrifying reality of financial instability. Because of your support of the Bishop’s Appeal, more than 13,000 people—including Pam—have been served by Catholic Charities in northeastern Wisconsin.

At Fr. Carr’s Place 2B, the mission is clear: no one should face hunger or hardship alone. To ensure this vital ministry continues. Fr. Carr’s Place 2B established a fund with the Catholic Foundation. Today, more than one million souls have been touched by its mission of compassion, rooted in the Gospel of Matthew: “Feed the hungry, care for the sick, and welcome the stranger.”

It is with a heavy heart the Catholic Foundation announces the passing of Marianne Van Drisse. We ask you to keep her in prayer as we thank God for the faith, service, and dedication she shared during her lifetime. Marianne was one of the founding members of the Catholic Foundation board of directors in 1997, and her leadership and love for the Catholic faith helped more people on their walk with Jesus. Ash Wednesday kicks off the Lenten season on February 18, 2026, and with it comes many opportunities to grow our faith. Through Lenten observations, there is a recurring theme for this holy, reflective season: we give. With great love, we can give to others.  That is our mission for Lent. Together, we can follow Christ’s example and share our love with thousands throughout northeastern Wisconsin. 

It is with a heavy heart the Catholic Foundation shares the news of the passing of Bishop Robert J. Banks on January 25, 2026. Bishop Banks was 97 years old at his passing from this life and served as our diocesan Bishop from December 5th of 1990 until October 10th of 2003. His motto was, “Blessed be God forever.”
