Did you know you can reduce your taxes by making a gift from your IRA directly to charity? If you are 70 1/2 years old or older, you can make a charitable gift up to $100,000 directly from your IRA. This direct distribution can be made to a qualified charity such as your parish, a Catholic school, the Bishop’s Appeal, a diocesan ministry, the Catholic Foundation, or another Catholic charity.
Through the Raising Vocations Collection, we will be investing in ministries that encourage young men and women to say “Yes” to God’s calling to the priesthood or religious life. Through the generosity of thousands of people, the Raising Vocation Collection has raised more than $300,000.

The Catholic Foundation will be accepting grant applications from October 1 to December 1, 2021. Each year, grants from designated funds and endowments are awarded to help meet the needs of our Catholic communities.
The Catholic Foundation awards grants from the Advancing the Mission Endowments in Evangelization, Leadership Development, and Lifelong Catechesis, as well as from the Monica Meyer Respect Life Endowment.
Recently, Hurricane Ida made landfall in the United States Gulf Coast resulting in the tragic loss of life and widespread damage to people’s homes and businesses.
