Make Your IRA Charitable Rollover Gift

Did you know you can reduce your taxes by making a gift from your IRA directly to charity? If you are 70 1/2 years old or older, you can make a charitable gift up to $100,000 directly from your IRA. This direct distribution can be made to a qualified charity such as your parish, a Catholic school, the Bishop’s Appeal, a diocesan ministry, the Catholic Foundation, or another Catholic charity.

As the residents of Maui continue to grapple with the loss of their homes and loved ones, and move toward rebuilding their communities, they will need continued support. Our partners, Catholic Charities Hawai’i and the Hawaii Catholic Community Foundation, will continue to serve the residents of Maui through the challenges that lie ahead.

Grant Applications Now Open!

The Catholic Foundation will be accepting grant applications from October 1 to December 1, 2021. Each year, grants from designated funds and endowments are awarded to help meet the needs of our Catholic communities.

The Catholic Foundation awards grants from the Advancing the Mission Endowments in Evangelization, Leadership Development, and Lifelong Catechesis, as well as from the Monica Meyer Respect Life Endowment.
