Did you know you can reduce your taxes by making a gift from your IRA directly to charity? If you are 70 1/2 years old or older, you can make a charitable gift up to $100,000 directly from your IRA. This direct distribution can be made to a qualified charity such as your parish, a Catholic school, the Bishop’s Appeal, a diocesan ministry, the Catholic Foundation, or another Catholic charity.

Think back to when you discovered Jesus.  Often it is our loving parents who first introduce us to our Lord.  For many young people, a deeper discovery of Christ happens through faith formation educators.  In faith formation programs across the Diocese of Green Bay, children are learning about Jesus.  These programs help form the next generation in our Catholic faith.

Jesus calls us one by one to help people discover Him.  Through the one by One campaign, our goal is to raise $70 million to fund initiatives to support our parishes and Diocesan ministries. This capital campaign will help strengthen our parishes, grow vocations, lead more people to discover Christ, and bring Jesus to those in need.

Through the Raising Vocations Collection, we will be investing in ministries that encourage young men and women to say “Yes” to God’s calling to the priesthood or religious life. Through the generosity of thousands of people, the Raising Vocation Collection has raised more than $300,000.

The Catholic Foundation will be accepting grant applications from October 1 to December 1, 2021. Each year, grants from designated funds and endowments are awarded to help meet the needs of our Catholic communities.

The Catholic Foundation awards grants from the Advancing the Mission Endowments in Evangelization, Leadership Development, and Lifelong Catechesis, as well as from the Monica Meyer Respect Life Endowment.
