At youth group, Allie was amazed to hear stories of the Steubenville Youth Conference. She heard of memories made with friends on the bus ride. Peers shared the impact Mass had on them. Allie envisioned Jesus being raised in the monstrance during Adoration, as she reached out for Him. Shortly after, a group from Xavier Catholic School in Appleton was formed to attend this year’s conference. Gifts to the Raising Vocations Collection made attending Steubenville possible for Allie and hundreds of other young men and women from our Diocese.
At the Steubenville Youth Conference, young men and women can discern their vocation and hear God’s call to the priesthood, religious life, single life, and marriage. Allie is unsure of what her future has in store, but a possible call to religious life rests in her heart. Steubenville will be life changing for her vocation journey as she answers God’s call. At Steubenville, Allie was able to spend time with Jesus in Adoration, receive Him in the Eucharist, and participate in the altar call. The altar call is an opportunity for students discerning the priesthood or religious life to go up and receive a blessing. This experience at Steubenville has helped Allie in her vocation journey.
