Supporting the Culture of Life through Faith and Formation

Thanks to a generous Monica Meyer Respect Life Grant from the Catholic Foundation, Biking for Babies continues to empower young adults to become missionary disciples and support pro-life and anti-abortion efforts.
This support enabled the creation and distribution of Life Guides—essential formation materials—for all 92 missionaries participating in the 2025 National Ride.
The Life Guide is a resource developed by the Biking for Babies team. It provides missionaries with spiritual formation, pro-life advocacy tools, and training from March through August. These guides help young adults live out their faith, promote life, and support pregnancy resource centers across the country.
Nikki Biese, a parishioner of Holy Cross Parish in Kaukauna and the executive director for Biking for Babies, was overjoyed about the possibilities this guide offers their team’s mission.
“Thank you so much, Catholic Foundation, for the grant. Our mission at Biking for Babies is to form young adults in the Gospel of Life and form them into missionary disciples of Jesus Christ. Our Life Guide is instrumental in that formation process. So, thank you for bringing that to life and helping us fulfill our mission,” shared Biese.
The 2025 National Ride: A Journey for Life
From July 14–19, eight missionaries—six cyclists and two support crew—rode over 600 miles from Green Bay to St. Louis. Overall, 92 missionaries ages 18-39 participated in this year’s National Ride.

Along the way, missionaries partnered with more than 90 pregnancy centers, advocating for their work and raising awareness about pro-life resources.
Nicholas Vande Hey, a seminarian for the Diocese of Green Bay and three-time missionary, shared how Biking for Babies shaped his perspective.
“I grew in understanding these real issues and learned to speak with compassion while boldly sharing the truth. If priests are formed as pro-life missionaries, the Church will be filled with pro-life missionaries—and our culture will become a culture of life.”
Because of the support of many generous families like yours, Catholic Foundation grant recipients like Biking for Babies can help more people share Jesus. Congratulations to Biking for Babies on being a Catholic Foundation grant recipient, and thank you for supporting the work of the Church through your ministry!
