When God created the Earth, He could have started with anything: the mighty seas, the majestic mountains, or vast skies. But, as He took in the darkness around Him, “God said: Let there be light, and there was light” (Genesis 1:3).
Even from the beginning of time, God has wanted to bring us into the light of His love and grace. We see so many shining examples as diocesan ministries share Jesus. Children in our parish faith formation programs and Catholic schools begin a lifelong friendship with Jesus. Deacons are formed, so they can help parishioners on their faith journey. Entrust Retreat attendees are trained to bring Jesus, the light of the world, to more people in their parish and beyond.
Because of your support of the Bishop’s Appeal, Catholic Charities works with those struggling with mental health issues, offers financial counseling, and helps couples looking to grow their family by adoption.
