Bishop's Appeal helps support Adult Faith FormationJulianneDonlonStanzTestimonial

Many of us wonder where our faith journey may take us. For Julianne Donlon-Stanz, her faith journey took her from a little mountain village in Ireland to Northeastern Wisconsin. Her role as Director of Adult Faith Formation for the Diocese allows her to share our Catholic faith with people of all ages through the programs and seminars offered through the diocesan Department of Education.

"This work is tremendously important to me because it's impacted my own life on such a personal level. I've seen the effects when people are energized in their faith, they live their faith and are really on fire for Christ and His teachings," said Julianne.

Through your support of the Bishop's Appeal, you can help Julianne bring the Word of God to thousands more. The 2012 Bishop's Appeal has raised $4.802,000 to benefit the ministries the Diocese. If you have not made your gift to the please consider it today!

Catholic Foundation approves distributions of more than $3.7 millionpope-benedict-xvi-0218-150x150

“The practice of almsgiving is a reminder of God’s primacy and turns our attention towards others, so that we may rediscover how good our Father is, and receive his mercy.” -- Pope Benedict XVI.

Because of your support of the Catholic Foundation, we are able to continue to help others experience how good our Father is to each of us. I am proud to share with you the news the Catholic Foundation has available for distribution more than $3.7 million to parishes, Catholic schools, and other Catholic ministries here in Northeastern Wisconsin.

Your support helps us tremendously to bring Jesus to people young and old.

Thank you and may God abundantly bless you and your family during this Easter season!

Bishop's Appeal helps in welcoming new Catholics!

Joe_Zenk_Communion

The Bishop's Appeal 2012 campaign has received more than 25,074 gifts for $4,081,000. The Easter season is a wonderful time to celebrate our faith and the Resurrection of our Lord. For those who will be initiated into the Catholic Church, this spring will also mark a milestone in their faith journey.

With help from parish Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) programs, candidates were given the resources, support, and knowledge they needed to take the next step in their journey of faith. Clare Sturm, Director of Worship for the Diocese of Green Bay, helps parishes enhance their RCIA programs by providing them with new ways to create a warm and welcoming place to find God. With a gift to the Bishop's Appeal you can join Clare in helping parishes enhance their RCIA program and welcome home future Catholics. Making a Difference in the Lives of Catholc YouthATMFundLogoLandingpage

Enriching the relationship between Christ and Catholic youth is just one way Kari Kruser is impacting the bond they share with Jesus Christ. As religious education coordinator at St. Peter the Fisherman in Two Rivers, Kruser looks to new and innovative ways to improve religious education and engage our Catholic youth. Recently, she attended a conference in Atlanta, Georgia to help further her ministries.

A grant from the Catholic Foundation Advancing the Mission Lifelong Catechesis Endowment helped make it possible for her to attend the conference. “I feel truly blessed that I was able to go,” Kari says. This conference gave her the opportunity to receive training in a new religious education program for grades 6-8 and taught her ways to improve their high school program.

The Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of Green Bay encourages financial stewardship and generosity by providing a faith-based avenue for giving. Distributions and grants are made each year from more than 100 restricted funds as designated by donors to benefit Catholic parishes, schools, and other Catholic organizations.
