Dominican Republic Mission Supported by the Diocese of Green Bay for More Than 50 Years

Since 1963, the Diocese of Green Bay has supported the Dominican Republic Mission through financial support and by sending priests to serve the people of St. Teresa Parish in Elías Pina and St. Isadore in El Llano and 30 chapels.  This Mission serves some of the poorest people in the world.  Fr. Mike Seis is currently ministering to more than 90,000 people in the two parishes and chapels.

In addition to the parishes and chapels, Fr. Mike oversees a grade school with more than 600 students, a high school with more than 500 students and a technical school for nursing, logistics and agriculture.  Currently, an additional grade school and second floor for the high school are under construction.  Their needs continue to grow each year.

To meet the increasing needs, many parishes partner to assist the Dominican Republic Mission through prayers and financial support.  Every year many groups from our Diocese plan mission trips to help with medical, dental and other needed projects.  You may find additional information about the Dominican Republic Mission in our Catholic Foundation World Mission Services Projects Booklet.

Through support from people just like you, these families who are struggling most in life are able to hear the Good News, have their basic needs met and receive educational opportunities.  Along with prayers, gifts are most welcome and appreciated to help those living in the Dominican Republic.  To make your gift today, click here.  Gifts may also be made to the Dominican Republic Mission Endowment by calling 920-272-8192.
